The cookie helps in reporting and personalization as well.- Description » Generator Engineer Opportunity at DQM## Package & Rewards## RoleAs our Generator Service Engineer, you will take ownership of generator servicing and support activities including:* PPM servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of customer-owned standby diesel generators* Basic mechanical and electrical fault diagnosis* Identifying minor remedial works or upgrade recommendations* Load bank testing and on-load testing* Fuel sampling and polishing* Supporting senior engineers on installations, commissioning, and upgrade projects## LocationBased at our Fareham depot, most of your work will be at customer sites across Hampshire and the South Coast, with occasional travel further afield.Applicants must live within a commutable distance to Fareham – this is not a remote or regionally based position.## Skills and ExperienceWe are seeking a proactive engineer with transferable skills. Generator experience is a benefit, but not mandatory.* NVQ level 3 or higher in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent apprenticeship.* Proven hands-on experience in a mechanical/electrical engineering role (maintenance/servicing).* Full UK driving licence is essential.* Ability to obtain police vetting is mandatory (requires UK residency for the last 3 consecutive years).* 18th Edition (BS7671) certification would be a benefit but is not mandatory.## Apply Now* Guaranteed base salary you can rely on.
