Overview Woodgate Primary School is committed to providing the highest quality learning for all children. We are seeking to appoint a highly organised and enthusiastic Support Worker to support pupils with specific medical needs. Responsibilities Work autonomously, in line with school policies and health care plans, to provide person centred support to pupils with physical disabilities and additional health needs in order to promote independence, self-esteem and social inclusion. Work closely with teachers and teaching assistants to facilitate pupil access to the curriculum, participation in learning and a sense of achievement. May include supporting a small number of pupils or working on a 1:1 basis with a specific pupil (subject to their levels of need). Training on health care needs will be provided by a registered nurse. What the school offers Visits to the school are welcomed.
