SEN Teaching Assistant Flexible Opportunities in Stoke ABC Teachers are seeking SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team and support pupils with Special Educational Needs across primary schools in the Stoke area. If you have experience working with children who have additional needs and are passionate about making a difference, we want to hear from you About the Role As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support for pupils with a range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions to help pupils achieve their individual learning goals. Use a child‑centred approach to promote engagement, independence, and positive behaviour. Assist with personal care and ensure the safety and well‑being of all pupils. Adapt resources and activities to meet the needs of learners and create an inclusive classroom environment. This SEN Teaching Assistant role offers flexibility, with day‑to‑day, short‑term, and long‑term positions available in schools across Stoke and surrounding areas. Requirements To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: Have experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting. Hold a relevant qualification or demonstrate practical experience in SEN support. Be confident in managing challenging behaviour and implementing strategies to promote positive outcomes. Possess a DBS registered on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one). Be adaptable, patient, and committed to helping every child succeed.
