We’re proud to pay the Real Living Wage for our Level 6 Apprenticeships. Key Responsibilities Develop and apply building services engineering techniques, procedures, and methods, including measuring, testing, designing, installing, commissioning, maintaining, and operating building services systems. Use advanced mathematical, statistical and data interpretation tools and analytical/computational methods to solve well‑defined engineering problems. Produce and interpret technical drawings, designs and models with analytical and computer‑based software packages, recognising software limitations. Ensure solutions comply with industry standards, procedures, codes of practice, regulations and legislation. Conduct risk assessments, monitor performance, and maintain health, safety, welfare, and environmental policies. Apply principles of sustainable development and assess the impacts of your work. Use project management techniques to measure and record progress against project plans. Report on quality using management and assurance systems, and drive continuous improvement. Identify, procure and manage resources, equipment and technology to meet project requirements, including budgets and timescales. Communicate using appropriate engineering terminology and conventions with various audiences. Apply ethical principles, including secure use of data and information. Plan, undertake and review your own professional competence, update CPD to improve performance, and become a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) at licentiate level. Qualifications & Training GCSEs in English and Maths (grade C/4) and at least five GCSEs total. A Level in relevant subjects – Maths, Science, ICT, Engineering (grade CCC, 96 UCAS points). Other relevant qualifications and industry experience are welcome. Apprenticeship includes dedicated time at college or university to focus on studies and professional qualifications. Can be adjusted to reflect prior knowledge and experience.
