Plymouth City Council’s Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Service is looking for a qualified Occupational Therapist to join the team.To apply for this position, you must be registered with the Royal College of Occupational Therapists and the Health and Care Professions Council. Demonstratable experience working with children and young people with complex physical and developmental conditions would be beneficial. You will work well as part of a team, showing initiative, a problem‑solving approach, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.ResponsibilitiesCarrying a varied caseload and working across different settings, including the home, early years and school.Assessment, provision of support proportionate to identified need and risk, and review of:Posture/positioning, specialist seating and equipment requirements.Adaptations and specific housing requirements.Risk in relation to moving and handling that impacts functional daily living activities and routines.Signposting and provision of supporting information using a graduated approach to intervention and inclusion.You will be joining a team with a commitment to providing a high standard of support to families.
