This role is in a care home setting.As the Chef you will be responsible for planning and preparing nutritious, delicious meals for our residents, taking into consideration dietary requirements and preferences. Your culinary expertise will contribute to the overall wellbeing and satisfaction of our residents.What do you get in return for your compassion and commitment?Main ResponsibilitiesPlan, prepare and serve well-balanced meals for residents and offer a variety of snacks throughout the day.Liaise with the Care Home Manager / Operations team.Maintain high standards of food quality, taste and presentation.Manage the kitchen including ordering, inventory control and food budget management.Create menus that are appealing and varied, considering the dietary needs of residents.Collaborate with team members to address resident feedback and special requests.Monitor portion control and waste.Train and supervise kitchen staff.Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen.Adhere to all Food Safety and Hygiene, and Health and Safety regulations.Maintain accurate records.Monitor kitchen equipment and perform routine maintenance.This position requires a PVG and two relevant satisfactory references.At Keane we believe in taking care of the people who care for others.
