PAYE alternative also available Role Overview As a Design Assurance Engineer (Civils Specialist), you will take the lead in overseeing civil and structural works, ensuring compliance with specifications and procedures. Your expertise will be vital in managing quality assurance processes and fostering strong stakeholder engagement throughout the project. Key Responsibilities Enforce Civil and Structural Specifications, including T/SP/CE/1, T/SP/CE/2, and T/SP/CE/4. Manage Deviation and Technical Query Procedures and respond to MWC requests. Conduct stakeholder reviews of Civil/Structural Approved DOPs in accordance with the G35 procedure. Advise on work pack documentation for modification completion and CAC progression. Support QA processes, including ITP reviews and CAC documentation for civils and structural works. Assess and provide guidance on formal and minor design changes during construction. Lead construction activities on brownfield retrofit projects, focusing on duct and draw pit installations, equipment foundation bases, and deconstruction. Collaborate with Design Coordinators (DCs), Project Managers (PMs), and the wider team to ensure seamless project execution. Candidate Profile A dedicated technical civil support Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a strong foundation in the gas network or transferable utilities network. Familiar with the G35 procedure, ensuring compliance and excellence throughout. An experienced site-based construction manager within the gas transmission or utilities sector. Well-versed in specifications and procedures. Skilled in documentation and possesses exceptional stakeholder engagement abilities.
