Projects may include HVDC, interconnectors, wind farms, substations, OHL, geotechnical solutions, building design, protection systems, LVAC, FEED, new builds, refurbishment works, and connection schemes.As a Senior Principal P&C Engineer, you will lead and collaborate with a passionate team of like-minded engineers on projects up to 400kV. You will take projects from concept through detailed design and support them during construction and energisation. Ideally, you will have experience working with key T&D clients in the UK.Additionally, you’ll have the chance to work on projects focused on innovation, standardisation, technology assessment, and collaboration with our suppliers on new products and services.You will join a growing and collaborative team, partnering with various clients to develop innovative and sustainable solutions to industry-wide efficiency and environmental challenges. With our ambitious growth plans, there are numerous development opportunities within our teams. This is your chance to play a crucial role in the UK energy transition.Your RoleDevelop scoping documentation and Main Connections & Protection Diagrams.Review Protection & Control Designs developed by third parties.Specify P&C related equipment and plant such as relays, CTs, and VTs.Produce detailed designs including AC/DC schematics.Conduct protection grading studies, produce relay files and settings.Review Commissioning Plans and attend Commissioning Panel meetings.See the below link for more information on our Energy sector teams:Stantec Energy Transition - UKAbout YouBachelor’s degree or equivalent in electrical engineering or a related field.Experience working on Distribution Networks as a Senior/Principal Protection & Control Design Engineer.Knowledge and experience with protection relays and relay panels, CT & VT sizing calculations, protection grading studies, and producing detailed AC/DC drawings.Familiarity with UK electrical practices and standards and an understanding/appreciation of CDM regulations.High regard for safety with demonstrable experience in risk mitigation.Experience working with National Grid processes.#ukenergyAbout StantecThe Stantec community unites more than 31,000 employees working in over 450 locations across 6 continents.
