We have a fantastic opportunity for a Principal Technical Lecturer to join the Yunex Traffic Training Services department. Working closely with business stakeholders, your primary responsibility will be to deliver and develop a range of technical and skills-based courses in current Yunex traffic systems and future products. Most training is face to face, however, there will be some delivery on-line. Although this role is based at the Yunex Depot in Poole / Bournemouth, Dorset – there will be frequent travelling as training is delivered from multiple venues across the whole of the UK and customer training may require international travel. Training Services provides traffic systems courses to external customers and also focuses on developing the competence of Yunex Traffic field operatives, by delivering first-class underpinning training. You will need to apply your existing experience and passion to developing and delivering training courses to ensure that these key business deliverables are achieved. Although the primary role is teaching, you will also be responsible for all aspects of training provision, including requirements capture, course development, preparation, implementation and the on-going maintenance to comply with industry standards and traffic industry best practice. You will need to take ownership of your assigned training area and support the wider team with knowledge sharing. As a member of the training team your experience and knowledge will be utilized to help develop the ongoing strategy of the training department to support the needs of the business in the future, using the latest technology and modern training techniques. What are your responsibilities To develop and deliver technical and skills training solutions to both internal and external delegates in support of our current and emerging business requirements. Ensure solutions are delivered in accordance with company safety and quality procedures and meet all applicable legislation, safety and customer standards, and project requirements. This will include both face to face and remote delivery solutions. Be responsible for the creation of new course material and the updating of existing material in line with developing requirements. The delivery of skills‑based training relating to Health & Safety, working with LV electrical equipment on the highway and other technical courses as part of the Highway Electrical Registration Scheme (HERS) competency framework. Actively participate in business improvement initiatives and help drive implementation of improvements from the team. Continuously improve / develop cross‑functional and departmental processes. Support Training Services with external bidding and internal project requirements by producing training information and written proposals as required. Attend relevant project and engineering meetings to advise and consult on training considerations. To carry out safety‑critical, technical and operational assessments as defined by the relevant Competency Management System and company policy. Deliver specific technical training project plans to support Yunex traffic programmes. Collaboration with internal and external customers to identify and deliver the training requirements for their area of responsibility. Develop a relationship with the customer that provides a stable foundation for future business opportunities. Collate and respond to customer feedback to ensure Yunex Traffic builds trust and confidence in the market. Support the development of annual training budgets and produce and deliver training to budgetary requirements.
