Senior Asset Data and Intelligence Analyst Here at National Highways, we’re looking for a Senior Asset Data and Intelligence Analyst to join our team in the South West region. In this role, you’ll turn information into insight: monitor and maintain our asset databases, identify opportunities for improvement, and use analysis and modelling to generate intelligence that supports smarter investment, needs analysis and planning decisions. Collaborate closely with Operations teams and wider stakeholders across the business, ensuring data is delivered in the right format to meet diverse needs. Your expertise will help us achieve cross‑functional objectives and make decisions that truly matter for our roads and the communities that rely on them. This role can be based from our offices in Bristol or Exeter. Responsibilities Gather, analyse and monitor relevant data from the region’s assets, operations and services to explore patterns, causes and effect and trends within the business. Identify areas for further analysis and produce performance and service insights to support and improve operations decision‑making. Perform regional demand and performance monitoring modelling using analytics tools and techniques. Identify opportunities to improve operations safety, customer and delivery performance through innovative use of data analysis, insights and GIS visualisation techniques. Work with regional and wider business stakeholders to define data sets that support business decision making and assist in driving improvements in data management processes and practices. Qualifications Experience working with a variety of data to extract meaningful business and performance insights, with good presentation skills and time management. Working knowledge of data analytics methodologies, tools, techniques, and information management principles. Experience in GIS and mapping techniques, data visualisation and analytical tools, with excellent attention to detail. Track record of managing relationships with multiple stakeholders and the ability to influence and negotiate. Degree or HND in a relevant discipline with appropriate experience, or equivalent. External candidates will be offered a starting salary at the lower end of the pay scale, while current employees will be appointed in accordance with our established pay policy.
