Learning Support Assistant Job available in AndoverAre you a patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting children with additional needs? A welcoming primary school in Andover is looking for a Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in Key Stage 2.About the Role:You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide consistent support for the child, helping them access learning and develop key social and emotional skills. Your support will be crucial in creating a calm, structured environment that enables the child to thrive.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored 1:1 support for a child with ASD during lessonsImplement strategies from the child's Individual Support Plan and EHCPEncourage social interaction and support emotional regulationAdapt activities to suit the child's needs and learning styleCollaborate with staff and parents to monitor and support progressWe're Looking for Someone Who:Has experience working with children with ASD or additional needs (preferred but not essential)Demonstrates patience, empathy, and strong communication skillsIs calm, reliable, and committed to supporting the child's developmentCan follow guidance while also using initiative when neededHolds a relevant TA qualification (desirable)What We Offer:A warm, supportive school communityThe opportunity to make a real difference in a child's lifeOngoing training and developmentA friendly and collaborative working environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
