If yes, we want to hear from youThe Asset Management And Infrastructure Planning Team is one of five sub-sectors within our Water Consultancy Division, employing around 600 people across the UK. We work in the water sector and with other infrastructure providers in the UK and internationally in the following areas:Water resource investment planningWastewater and bioresources investment planningStrategic asset management and business planningTechnical assurance of operational performance and business casesCarbon and net zero appraisal and strategic planningIntegrated systems managementData analytics and decision support toolsContract’s appraisal (NEC, PPP)We are looking for motivated professionals, with at least 5 years of asset management experience preferably in the water sector, to join our team based in the UK. The ideal candidate will have a desire for a long-term career in asset management, becoming a Member of the Institute of Asset Management and managing their own projects.Key Responsibilities And DutiesAssist the technical delivery of asset management advisory projects, including frequent interaction with clients and working from within client environmentsContribute to the development of project outputs, including investment business cases and reportsSupport business development activities, including client engagement, preparing and managing project proposalsFacilitate asset management capability assessments and identifying areas for improvementSupport project and budget management, including team coordination and ensuring compliance with PM proceduresUndertake identified training to support technical excellencePerform data analysis to support project deliveryCandidate specificationYou Will Have Experience In The FollowingAsset planning or asset strategyRisk assessment and managementInvestment appraisal or cost benefit analysisInvestment planning or investment programme optimisationResilience assessment and planningDeveloping decision support toolsPerformance monitoring/reportingSome experience/knowledge of ISO 55000 or another ISO standardEssentialDegree qualified in an environmental or other relevant subjectChartership recently achieved through a relevant organisation (ICE, CIWEM or similar), or working at an equivalent level with demonstrable progress towards ChartershipIndustry experience in asset management, ideally in a water company or consultancyCritical thinking and analytical skillsStrong interpersonal, communication and writing skills. This would include the ability to review complex documents, summarise and present the key issues in a clear and concise way.Project management, client liaison and consulting skillsWillingness to undertake assignments throughout the UK, as well as short international visitsDesiredCertificate or Diploma in Asset Management from the Institute of Asset ManagementAssurance/audit experience including experience of ISO auditingCommercial awareness and project proposal preparationOrganisational change managementChartership with a relevant environmental or asset management professional institutionIndustry experience and/or willingness to actively embrace on and off the job training in additional areas such as decarbonisation, climate resilience, systems thinking, nature-based solutions and/or circular economyA broader awareness of other environmental and social disciplinesUK ImmigrationMott MacDonald Ltd. are not currently offering sponsorship to candidates under the Skilled Worker visa route in the UK.
