The Role We are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to work across a range of secondary schools. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting teachers and students, helping to create an engaging and positive learning environment. Responsibilities Assisting classroom teachers in delivering lessons and supporting the educational needs of students. Providing one‑on‑one and small group support to students who may need extra help, including those with special educational needs (SEN). Supporting students with emotional and behavioural challenges, helping them to stay focused and engaged. Helping to prepare classroom materials and resources for lessons. Encouraging student participation and maintaining a positive, inclusive atmosphere in the classroom. Providing pastoral care and support to students throughout the school day. Monitoring and reporting on student progress to the classroom teacher. About You Has a genuine passion for working with young people and supporting their educational development. Is patient, caring, and able to build strong relationships with students. Demonstrates a flexible and proactive approach to working in a variety of school environments. Has excellent communication skills and is a team player. Experience working with young people, whether in a formal education setting or other support roles, is desirable but not essential. A Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3) is an advantage, but not mandatory. Experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN) is a bonus, but not essential. Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check (through Aspire People).
