Advanced Nurse Practitioner Job Summary: Highlands Surgery in Leigh-on-Sea are looking for an advanced nurse practitioner to join us on a permanent basis. Our team has a wide skill mix and we would like a nurse practitioner to join our team to help us continue to drive our service further forward. We are always looking to build our expertise and introduce innovations into the practice that will enhance the service we offer. We are a training practice with all Partners being approved trainers. Main Duties of the Job Be responsible for attending to patients who wish to be seen by a health care professional Diagnose and treat patients presenting with minor illness Consult and advise patients of their continuing medical and nursing needs Provide assessment, screening treatment services and health education advice. Essential Experience Advanced Nurse Practitioner experience in general practice. Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook with the ability to understand and learn new computer software. Excellent organisational skills. Excellent communication skills, including good telephone manner. Friendly with a positive attitude. A team player. Open and polite. Essential Qualifications NMC registered professionals with a nursing degree. Independent prescribing qualification.
