EAL Teacher Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a full or part time (the school would consider 3 or 4 days) EAL Teacher to work at an exceptional private school on the outskirts of York. This position is to start the 12th of January, and will last until June 30th in the first instance, but there is the potential for this role to go permanent if the candidate enjoys the placement and performs well. With regards to payment, payment will be between 31,000 and 46,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. Working hours for this school are 8:30 - 4:30. The School is located approximately 10 miles from York, and is also commutable from areas of North Yorkshire and Harrogate. Due to the rural location, this school is most easily accessible via car, with limited public transport options available. You will be joining a truly exceptional school with a thriving EAL department. Many of the students at the school are form overseas, and EAL teaching is deeply embedded into the values of the school. You will be joining a highly regarded school with a unique feel. There will be opportunities to accompany students on trips and activities that are highly exciting and enriching to the students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons around the IELTS specifications, so experience in this area is desirable for the role but not essential. Most importantly, the school are looking for highly passionate and engaging practitioners with either a DELTA or a CELTA qualification. If you have only just completed your qualification, you are highly recommended to apply for the role, as the Head of Department/Head of School are interested in guiding ambitious EAL Teachers through the first stage of their careers. You will be teaching learners from 5 though to 18. Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.
