Accounts Receivable Officer

Job Summary As part of our busy Accounts Receivable team, you will process payments, allocate them to invoices, and manage cash flow. Your role ensures timely, accurate recording of all payments, whether from Bank Transfer, GovPay, or other sources. Work within the Trust policies to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain accurate customer account records. Responsibilities Process all payments received onto the system allocating to the correct invoices where applicable or journaling non-invoiced income to the relevant cost centres. Take payments by Bank Transfer or GovPay where appropriate, banking any cheques in a timely manner. Identify errors on payments received and liaise with customers and other departments to ensure relevant action is taken to resolve. Arrange payment plans with customers, gaining supervisor approval within the Trust policies and procedures. Ensure that customer account records are maintained by completing a form for the Accounts Receivable Supervisor to make any amendments. Accurately process invoice and credit note requests as per process document, ensuring correct VAT treatment. Post any printed invoices out in a timely manner.
