Principal Planning Officer Minerals & Waste Location: East Midlands Pay: £50 per hour guide Contract: Initial 6 Month Contract Job Ref: 61552 Overview My Local Authority Client in the East Midlands is looking to source an experienced Town Planner with experience of dealing with Minerals & Waste Applications. Responsibilities Determine applications for minerals and waste development for a collection of councils, including site visits as appropriate. Provide pre‑application advice and attend planning committee meetings when applications go before them. Monitor existing permitted/operational minerals and waste sites across three authorities and any authorised development notified. Initiate enforcement action when necessary. Qualifications Experience in minerals and waste development management of significance. Work Arrangement Hybrid working offered; some presence required in office and on site dealing with planning reported breaches.
