You will lead a team of baggage handlers, coordinate with other airport departments, and manage operational challenges to deliver exceptional service to our airline partners and passengers.Role ResponsibilitiesTeam LeadershipSupervise, train, and motivate a team of baggage handlers.Schedule shifts and manage attendance to ensure adequate staffing.Conduct regular team briefings and performance reviews.Operational ManagementOversee the loading, unloading, sorting, and transportation of baggage.Ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures.Monitor equipment and report any maintenance needs or malfunctions.Coordination and CommunicationLiaise with airline representatives, ground handling teams, and other airport departments to ensure smooth operations.Address and resolve operational issues promptly.Maintain clear and effective communication channels within the team and with external partners.Compliance and ReportingEnsure compliance with aviation regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.Prepare and submit operational reports, incident logs, and performance metrics.Implement corrective actions as necessary to improve service delivery.What were looking for?Proven experience in airport operations, particularly in baggage handling or a similar environment.Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Strong organizational and problem‑solving abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.Knowledge of aviation safety regulations and standards.Proficiency in using relevant IT systems and software.Flexibility to work shifts.Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role.Certification in aviation safety or related field.First aid and emergency response training.Ability to lift and carry heavy baggage items.Prolonged periods of standing and walking.Comfortable working in various weather conditionsWhy Join Us?Company pensionCycle to work schemeEmployee discountFree parkingHealth & wellbeing programmeReferral programmePrimeFlight UK is an equal opportunity employer.
