TeacherActive are thrilled to be working with a fantastic Primary school located in Pontypool. The school strive to build upon the nurturing, friendly atmosphere and the multitude of wellbeing approaches that have been at the core of their school for many years. They constantly ensure that their pupils sit at the heart of everything they do and that their progress is always valued.

The Primary school are looking for a dedicated, full time Teaching Assistant who’s able to use their initiative and adapt their teaching style to meet the requirements of pupils with additional learning needs. You will be responsible for supporting pupils on a  2:1 basis keeping them safe and engaged during their learning whilst ensuring they are always in your eyesight. You will be working in the Foundation Phase and will need to be able to work collaboratively with the classroom teacher, providing feedback to staff and parents when necessary.

The successful Teaching Assistant /TA will have:

At least 6 months experience or a minimum level 2 qualification
Experience working with additional learning needs
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Ability to build strong relationships with staff, pupils and parents
Flexibility to work 08:30am – 15:30pm
