Bannister Farmis looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join their team.Pay rate:£13.70 per hour& we offer a £1000 welcome bonusHours:Full-Time. 40 hours per week.Day Shifts:Various shifts between 8am - 10pm, including long days & weekends.Bannister Farm is located in Leyland, in Lancashire. Our home offers residential support to five autistic adults, who may also have a learning disability. The home is located off a main road, in a pleasant neighbourhood. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future.Your positive attitude and passion for providing high quality care and support will be your key strengths, but you'll also have a friendly, patient and positive approach to work.As a Senior Support Worker,you will assist qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents. You will provide support with day to day activities, whilst encouraging and promoting independent living. As part of our team, you’ll help people reach their potential, through both practical and emotional support, making a positive difference to their lives.You will have gained experience in a similar setting, supervising and leading others. While a formal qualification is not required, you should be willing to complete a Level 3 qualification in Team leadership and management with Priory.Supervise colleagues, lead team meetings and support your peers with their performance and professional developmentLead support planning and act as point of contact in the absence of site leadershipAssist with the management of site petty cash and client fundsSupporting with personal care tasks, such as washing, dressing, eating and personal carePerforming light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed clothesAssisting with safe lifting, transferring, repositioning and movement of individualsAssistance and support to attend medical appointmentsObserve, monitor, and record physical and emotional well-being, and quickly report any changes to senior staffSupporting the development of important family connections and liaising with specialists, including Speech & Language Therapists and Learning Disability teamsEncouraging participation in social and recreational activities that promote involvement and personal growthWhat you'll bring to the roleOur work is rewarding but can be challenging, so resilience is key.
