Food Type: 3AAR, A'la Carte and tasting menuAccommodation: Accommodation is availableStart Date: February 2025Position Overview:We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef to join our newly appointment Head Chef James Erasmus who, has worked at some of the countries top restaurants including The Ledbury and Harwood Arms.The Sous Chef will work closely with the Head Chef to ensure the smooth operation of the kitchen and maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and sanitation. Live-in accommodation is available for candidates who may require it, providing an excellent opportunity for those seeking stability and convenience.Responsibilities:Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan and develop innovative menus that meet customer preferences and seasonal availability.Oversee the daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation, ensuring adherence to recipes and quality standards.Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to maintain a cohesive and efficient team.Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, maintaining optimal stock levels while minimizing waste and controlling costs.Ensure compliance with all food safety and sanitation regulations, conducting regular inspections and implementing corrective actions as necessary.Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to enhance kitchen efficiency and productivity.Collaborate with the management team to address customer feedback and continually improve the dining experience.Stay updated on industry trends and culinary techniques, incorporating new ideas and concepts into menu development and kitchen operations.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Sous Chef or Senior Chef de Partie in a high-volume kitchen environment.Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.Excellent organizational and time management abilities, capable of multitasking and prioritizing tasks effectively.Attention to detail and a passion for delivering exceptional food quality and presentation.Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.Certification from a culinary school or equivalent experience preferred.Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Live-in accommodation available for candidates requiring relocation.Opportunities for career advancement and professional development.Employee discounts and other benefits as per company policy.A supportive and inclusive work environment committed to employee well-being and growth.Join our team and be part of a dynamic culinary experience where your talent and passion for food can thrive Apply now to embark on a rewarding career as a Sous Chef with us. #J-18808-Ljbffr
