Job Description Our client is a reputable water treatment company known for their expertise in delivering outstanding water treatment, water hygiene and legionella services to clients nationwide. We are looking for a professional and versatile Water Treatment Engineer/Plumber based in and around the Wigan area. The successful candidate will be a qualified remedial plumber and will have experience in delivering water treatment/water hygiene duties in line with the ACOP L8 regulations. Applications will be considered from Leigh, Bolton, St Helens, Chorley and the surrounding areas. Experience Extensive experience working as a Water Treatment Engineer within the water treatment industry. Hands on experience carrying out remedial plumbing to a mixed portfolio of sites. NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Plumbing would be advantageous. Fully conversant with Health & Safety procedures/legislation and the water treatment industry. Ideally comes from a good chemical, technical and educational background. Proficient in using the Microsoft Office Package. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Duties Will Entail Carrying out cleaning and chlorination on both hot and cold-water systems, boilers, cooling towers, shower heads and flushing. Descaling, disinfection and tank cleans and dosing. Carrying out temperature monitoring, conducting routine sampling and analysing water systems and interpreting the results. Carrying out planned preventative maintenance on all dosing equipment as and when required. Completing worksheets for work carried out appropriately. Building and maintaining a good rapport with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients. Collating and providing accurate reports. Visiting sites as per client’s requirements. The successful post-holder will be versatile, flexible, have a good work ethic and be able to carry out the work effectively and within timelines and must be flexible with regards to travelling.
