Professional Services Account Manager at Venesky-Brown Recruitment Venesky-Brown’s client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow and Edinburgh, is currently looking to recruit a Procurement and Contract Management Specialist for a contract until 31 March 2026 on a rate of £450- £500/Day inside IR35. Responsibilities Assess current procurement state – conduct a thorough analysis of existing procurement and contract management ways of working to identify gaps and opportunities for improvement Define the optimised future approach – identify a streamlined processes to enhance procurement effectiveness and strengthen contract oversight Implement actions to address internal audit recommendations – lead targeted improvements in contract management to directly address recent internal audit findings and agreed management actions (including creating effective protocols around contract management, reviewing procurement handbook, and ensuring best practice is identified and embedded) Facilitate knowledge transfer and upskilling – share specialist procurement and contract management expertise with internal stakeholders / individuals to ensure that the transformation is embedded and able to be taken forward effectively Create and communicate the transformation narrative – develop and deliver a clear, compelling narrative of the transformation to engage and inform key stakeholders, ensuring broad understanding, alignment, and support for the changes Qualifications Demonstrable experience in contract management, procurement, or a related field, ideally within the public sector or a regulated environment. Proven track record of delivering process improvements and embedding change within tight timeframes. Strong understanding of document retention, compliance, and risk management. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to deadlines. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with experience of influencing at all levels. Ability to interpret and update policies, procedures, and guidance documents Experience of centralising procurement and contract management functions or implementing new ways of working Experience in developing and delivering procurement training or workshops to build internal capability.
