OverviewEmployment Type: Part-Time / Days / 24 hours per week. The working pattern for this role is over a 7-day period, so full flexibility across this period is required. Ability to work 12 hour shifts is also required.As a Day Senior Care Assistant, you will provide high quality, individualised care and support to residents during the day, promoting each person’s privacy, dignity and independence. You will be responsible for supervising and leading the shift and team members, and working together as a team to create a happy and caring atmosphere.You may be involved in activities such as direct observation on a care assistant assisting someone to eat, checking residents’ activities logs, giving a detailed handover to the next shift, or assisting a resident to get dressed in the morning. All duties are carried out with care at the heart of everything you do.Join our Hartford Care family if you are looking to make a difference in someone’s life and feel a sense of purpose in a rewarding role.ResponsibilitiesProvide high quality, individualised day-time care and support to residents.Supervise and lead the shift and team members; promote a positive, caring atmosphere.Coordinate and communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth handovers and continuity of care.Perform duties such as observing care assistants during meals, checking logs, and assisting residents with dressing and daily routines.Foster privacy, dignity and independence for residents and support their wellbeing.RequirementsEssential: At least 2 years’ experience as a Care Assistant in residential care.Essential: Completed an L3 NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care.Compassionate and caring nature.Excellent communication skills and ability to use IT systems.Ability to lead and motivate staff members.Able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.A flexible approach to working hours.This position is subject to an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
