The Vacancy Project Surveyor – Specialist Division Location: Enfield Company: Wates Property Services (WPS) Expected Earliest Start Date: May 2026 (due to security clearance requirements) About the Role Join Wates Property Services, a leading name in property refurbishment and maintenance, as a Project Surveyor working on a public sector contract. Key Responsibilities Cost Planning & Budgeting: Develop accurate cost plans and forecasts for awarded and tendered projects. Contract Administration: Manage tender documents, evaluations, purchase orders, and final accounts. Value Engineering: Identify cost‑saving opportunities without compromising quality. Risk Management: Assess commercial, operational, and environmental risks. Procurement & Compliance: Lead tendering processes and ensure adherence to framework requirements. Financial Reporting: Prepare monthly CVR reports and monitor cash flow. Site Inspections: Verify works, measure progress, and certify payments. Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with key clients, consultants, and supply chain partners. Team Leadership: Mentor junior surveyors and foster collaboration. Sustainability Integration: Incorporate green technologies and support net‑zero objectives. Security Clearance Requirement Government security clearance is mandatory. Clearance currently takes around 6 months. Successful candidates should expect a minimum start date in May 2026. Full disclosure is required during the clearance process. If clearance is denied, employment cannot proceed. What We’re Looking For Proven experience as a Project Surveyor in property services or similar. Strong knowledge of cost planning, contract administration, and procurement. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
