Responsibilities Labelling and dispensing of medication as required, including controlled drugs, monitored dose systems and clinical trials in a timely, legally and ethically acceptable manner to meet customer needs. Final checking of prescriptions for accuracy prior to release. Participating, when trained, in the provision of ward-based Medicines Management services to on and off-site wards on a rotation when necessary Participation in the rotation for the provision of the clozapine service. Collection of NHS prescription charges where necessary and use of the till including cashing up procedures. Liaise with ward staff, clinics and other healthcare professionals as necessary and ensure any problems with prescriptions are referred on to the most appropriate member of staff where necessary Undertake administration duties as required.
