A Little More About Your Role In this role you will undertake the structural engineering design for discrete packages of work including the production of reports, calculation packages and specifications. Supervise technicians in the production of 3D models and drawings that clearly communicate the structural engineering solutions. Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to produce coordinated design solutions. Communicate your design solutions verbally and through sketching, drawing, writing and presentations. Visit site to carry out inspections during the construction phase, and to assess existing structures. Report directly to the lead structural engineer for the projects that you are involved with and engage with multidisciplinary design teams, including external consultants, contributing to the overall success of the projects. What we will be looking for you to demonstrate An engineering degree and hold Chartered status (MIStructE / MICE). A working knowledge of structural engineering principles and the application of Eurocodes. A developing understanding of the appropriate use of analytical techniques and design software. An interest in low carbon design and the assessment of embodied carbon in your design solutions. A willingness to take responsibility for your designs, be proactive and support less experienced members of the team.
