If so, we’d like to receive an application from youWe are seeking outstanding practitioners who can motivate, enthuse and engage learners in Maths and who have a proven track record of helping learners to succeed. Applicants will be expected to deliver on a range of courses including GCSE and Functional Skills. Our aim is to assist students to become independent learners who can meet standards of Maths and are able to utilise these in the world of work. We are committed to ensuring that students reach their full potential and learn in stimulating environment that challenges and motivates, using learning technology effectively to enhance and extend students’ and apprentices’ knowledge and skills. Multi-site delivery will be required as part of the role and so there is regular travel between the different College sites and places of delivery within the Borough.QualificationsHold excellent Maths qualifications.Have a proven track record of impact (We will also consider recent Cert Ed/PGCE graduates).Possess outstanding subject knowledge and passion for your subject.Safeguarding and SelectionThe College reserves the right to interview for this post should we receive suitable candidates prior to the closing date. Employees will, in accordance with statutory guidance, be subject to a comprehensive checking process including references from current and previous employers, health, right to work in the UK, an enhanced DBS check and a further check against the appropriate barred list. To comply with legislation, you are required to obtain a DBS check for your role. We will be asking Protocol National Ltd/Esafeguarding Ltd to undertake this process on our behalf.Additional InformationAttention all eligible FE teachers Are you looking to level up your career and earn more while teaching specific courses? You may be eligible to claim a levelling-up premium payment for teaching courses in building and construction, chemistry, computing, early years, engineering and manufacturing, maths, and physics. The payment ranges from £2,000 to £6,000 depending on your provider and the number of hours you teach. If you’re in your first 5 years of teaching in FE and spend at least half of your hours teaching eligible FE courses at level 3 or below, you may be eligible.
