Job Overview

TE Connectivity's Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Our teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

Key tasks of the job:
  1. Representative, support, maintenance and oversee all aspects of the site Quality Management System, ensuring regulatory compliance is met.
  2. Ensure awareness of compliance to regulatory certifications, TE Global QMS and Customer requirements.
  3. Management and completion of the internal audit programme ensuring raising and effective close out of any Non-Conformances and Opportunities for Improvement (observations).
  4. Manage all 3rd party and customer audits and certifications including follow-up to closure of all related observations, improvements, major and minor non-conformance corrective and preventive actions.
  5. Where required/requested, support value stream Quality Engineer on all Customer Quality site visits.
  6. Support the roll out of global procedures to enable standardisation of process and standards on site.
  7. Ensure the applicability of current quality policies, procedures, and objectives, staying informed about the latest updates / modifications related to relevant standards and regulations.
  8. Reporting of specific Compliance required Quality KPIs at required frequency.
  9. Manage & maintain dept 5S activities & visual management.
  10. Must be able to work under flexible working schedules, including extended working hours as required.
  11. Carry out any other reasonable request by a member of the management team.
  12. Be able to manage own workload and prioritise based on Production requirements.
  13. Understand the site EH&S Policies and Procedures, work in a safe manner at all times and follow health & safety guidelines.
What your background should look like:

Qualifications, training and experiences required:

  1. Preferred strong knowledge of ISO9001 or AS9100 or IATF16949 or similar international standard with experience in conducting quality system audits.
  2. Experience in a manufacturing plant environment in a Quality or Engineering role gained in an aerospace, military or automotive environment applicable to auditing.
  3. Experience of quality planning plus implementation of quality tools (Histogram, Pareto, MSA, PFMEA, Controls plans).
  4. Organised with high degree of motivation and self-initiative, managing multiple tasks, and can adapt to changing priorities, accomplishing them in a timely manner.
  5. Strong team spirit, ability to influence and drive cross functional teamwork, ability to work well with internal and external customers, and with other cultures.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Proficient using MS Office.
