Your RoleWe have got a fantastic opportunity for a Medico Legal Records (MLR) Nurse to join our MLR team. We are recruiting for a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.and What You’ll Be DoingSort, index, pagination of digital medical records for Personal Injury clients.Preparation of a medical chronology and radiology schedule.Identification of crucial missing records.Interpret abbreviations, handwriting and medical terminology where required.35 hours per week (with the ability to work these flexibly and from home).About YouAs this is a senior (clinical) administrative role, a minimum of 10 years clinical experience is required.Band 6 minimum in a clinical position.Educated to degree level, or equivalent, in Nursing or Midwifery.If education or experience is particularly specialised, must be able to demonstrate versatility in other clinical areas.Excellent IT literacy – previous use of Microsoft programmes and Adobe necessary.Flexible to changes in procedure and IT.An understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality.Experience in a similar role.DesirableClinical experience in the following areas – Theatre, Critical Care, Orthopaedics, Tissue Viability, Diabetes, Practice Nursing / Community Nursing.Able to work as part of a team.Confidential and professional manner.High standards of personal presentation.Excellent communication skills.Work on own initiative.Able comfortably to liaise with range of people.Excellent attendance record.Ability to cope under pressure.Our Benefits - What We Can Offer You25 days holidays as standard plus bank holidays – You can ‘buy’ up to 35hrs of extra holiday too.Generous and flexible pension schemes.Volunteering days – Two days of volunteering every year for a cause of your choice (fully paid)Westfield Health membership, offering refunds on medical services alongside our Aviva Digital GP services.We also offer a wide range of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace and to make sure you’re fully supported.
