Role Overview We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Finance Consultant with strong, hands‑on experience across multi‑entity and multi‑country finance, Record‑to‑Report (R2R), Procure‑to‑Pay (P2P) and procurement integration, and group consolidation / group reporting. You will lead the design, configuration and delivery of SAP S/4HANA Finance solutions, working closely with Finance, Group Reporting, Procurement and IT stakeholders. The role covers the full lifecycle from workshops and blueprinting through build, testing, data migration, cutover and hypercare. Responsibilities Lead functional design and blueprinting for SAP S/4HANA Finance (FI/CO), including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Asset Accounting, Bank and Cash Management, and Controlling. Own the R2R process design: month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end close; accruals, provisions, allocations and reclassifications; FX revaluation and foreign currency translation; intercompany postings and reconciliations; trial balance and statutory/management reporting. Design integrated P2P processes: requisition, purchase order, goods receipt, invoice, payment; three‑way and two‑way match, GR/IR handling, invoice exceptions; AP workflow and approvals, non‑PO invoices, credit notes and down payments. Define multi‑entity and multi‑country finance models: company codes, controlling areas, profit centres and segments; multi‑currency set‑up (local, group, hard currencies); parallel ledgers and multiple accounting principles (e.g. IFRS, local GAAP). Capture and refine requirements through structured workshops, process walkthroughs and playback sessions with Finance, Group Finance, Procurement and Shared Services. Act as a client‑facing functional lead, running workshops and presenting solution options to senior stakeholders. Essential Skills & Experience 10+ years experience as an SAP Finance Consultant, with strong S/4HANA exposure. Minimum 2 full lifecycle S/4HANA Finance implementations (design, build, testing and go‑live). Solid FI/CO Expertise GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting. CO (cost centres, profit centres, internal orders). Proven R2R Experience Month‑end/year‑end close in SAP. FX revaluation, allocations, intercompany and financial reporting. Strong P2P / Procurement Experience End‑to‑end P2P flows and invoice processing. GR/IR and integration to Finance. Experience in Multi‑Entity / Multi‑Country Environments Multiple company codes, currencies and tax regimes. Parallel ledgers and multi‑GAAP accounting. Experience with Group Consolidation / Group Reporting e.g. S/4HANA Group Reporting, BPC or equivalent. Desirable Experience with global template design and multi‑country rollouts. Exposure to Central Finance, Treasury or advanced Cash Management. Knowledge of e‑invoicing, digital VAT reporting and other regulatory/compliance requirements. Accounting qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and/or SAP S/4HANA Finance certification. Experience working in Agile / hybrid delivery models using tools like Jira or Azure DevOps.
