Commercial Litigation Senior Lawyer - 5+ years PQELocation: Bristol (Hybrid available)Type: Permanent, Full-timeSalary: £65,000 to £85,000Chadwick Nott is pleased to be working with a respected law firm in Bristol to recruit a Senior Lawyer for their Commercial Litigation team. This is a senior-level opportunity offering leadership responsibilities, client-facing work, and cross-department collaboration.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal WorkManage a caseload of commercial litigation mattersAdvise on contractual disputes, corporate acquisition issues, and professional negligence claimsHandle director, partnership, and shareholder disputes, including unfair prejudice claimsConduct mediation and other forms of ADRUndertake insolvency and debt recovery workDraft pleadings, statements, bundles, costs schedules, applications, and ordersPrepare and check court bundlesProvide advocacy where appropriateNegotiate settlements and draft related documentationMaintain regular client communication and cost updatesProvide internal advice to other departmentsEnsure compliance with firm policies and Solicitors Accounts RulesSupervise and train junior team membersAdministrative DutiesPrepare cost estimates and letters of engagementComplete matters and close files appropriatelyHandle billing, payments, and account transfersMonitor ledgers and KPIsAttend review meetings to report on outstanding bills and disbursementsBusiness DevelopmentBuild and maintain client relationshipsAttend networking events and develop referral sourcesContribute to marketing strategies and departmental materialsSupport Legal Directory submissions (Legal 500, Chambers UK)Promote cross-department collaboration and identify cross-selling opportunitiesCandidate ProfileQualified Solicitor or FCILEx with minimum 5 years' PQE in commercial litigationStrong technical and drafting skillsConfident with IT systems and adaptable to new processesDemonstrated interest in business developmentPrevious management experience desirableTo apply or discuss the role in confidence, contact: oliviareed@chadwicknott.co.uk 0117 917 1515 / 07711 799761LinkedIn: Olivia ReedChadwick Nott is proud to support this recruitment and welcomes confidential enquiries.
