Onsite IT Support Engineer (Early Career) – East Midlands Location: Newark on Trent, Mansfield, Derby, Nottingham, Leicester. 25% travel required; full driving licence mandatory. Key Responsibilities Providing onsite support to assigned offices, working with business stakeholders to proactively improve IT systems. Diagnose and fix hardware, software, and network problems for users. Manage and deliver site‑related projects, initiatives, and office moves. Act as the service desk escalation point for assigned offices. Contribute to projects as required, relating to new technologies or office requirements. Prioritise workload and communicate well with colleagues on agreed deadlines. Resolve tickets that are escalated to onsite support and reduce tickets to the service desk through proactive support and system management. Actively contribute to problem management and knowledge transfer. Work closely with the Service Desk to feed back on support calls and ongoing issues, managing their resolution within the Service Level Agreement. Liaise with and update users on the progress and resolution of their issues. Proactively identify repetitive work and report potential solutions for automation or improved efficiencies. Required Qualifications Clear, concise and friendly people manner – essential for 1st line support. Good attention to detail – identifying small issues that could lead to larger system problems. Excellent communication and customer‑service skills. Experience working independently and as part of a team. Ability to work under pressure and prioritise own workload effectively. Experience in a service desk or IT support role. Good knowledge of Windows operating systems. Full driving licence. Experience with TeamViewer, SCCM, Active Directory, Asure or ITSM ticket‑management tools is advantageous.
