On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit an Aircraft Mechanical Fitter on an initial 6-month contract. The Aircraft Mechanical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, Line and Base Maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet. Role: Aircraft Mechanical Fitter Pay: £28.16 per hour Via Umbrella Location: Shawbury Contract: Monday - Friday 08:00 - 17:00 - 40 hours per week,6-month contract IR35 Status: Inside Security Clearance: BPSS, will require SC Clearnce Responsibilities Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations. Accomplishment of Maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer. Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft. Completion of maintenance, including airframe structure, power plant, mechanical and electrical systems in accordance with written instructions laid down by OEM. Conduct off-aircraft mechanical, power plant, component and composite technical work in workshops as required. Also required to assist in day to day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities. Essential Skills & Qualifications Must have thorough knowledge of engine and airframe systems. Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to engine and airframe systems. Must have up to date knowledge of: Flight/Airport Operations Aircraft Line Maintenance Aircraft Base Maintenance. Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline. Experience of Base Maintenance. Experience of Flight Operations and Line Maintenance. Desirable Skills & Qualifications Knowledge of UK Military Aviation and UK MFTS. Knowledge of CAA Part 145 and Part M regulations. Experience on H135/H145. Experience of Airbus Helicopters products. Experience of Military Aviation.
