As a senior member of the team you02ll have a broad remit and the autonomy to shape and improve our platform. We02re looking for someone who can bring their experience and ideas to the table whether its rethinking how we handle deployments, improving observability or evolving our infrastructure to better support our data scientists and developers. You02ll have the freedom to explore, propose and implement changes that make a real difference across the business.This role is based at our London office at 1 Craven Hill London W2 3EN. You will have flexibility to work from home one day a week. Please note we are not considering remote candidates at the moment.ResponsibilitiesAnalyse and predict football matches; contribute to shaping and improving the platform; propose and implement improvements across deployments, observability, and infrastructure to support data scientists and developers; collaborate with team to make impactful changes.Role RequirementsWe are looking for engineers with at least 5 years of experience in Scala. Given that the majority of our backend codebase is written in Scala the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our backend infrastructure.We are first and foremost a football company and to have a big impact here it will help if you have domain expertise you will probably be a big football fan and ideally someone who is comfortable with the mathematical and statistical approaches we are applying to the game.
