With big ambitions, a commitment to a sustainable future, and a focus on creating an inspiring workplace, Installio is at the forefront tackling the UK's labor shortage in the climate-tradesTasksWe're looking for a Technical Survey and Design Lead to spearhead the surveying and system design process for residential heat pump installations. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring every install is technically sound, energy efficient, and tailored to the customer's home. You’ll lead site surveys (in-person on site), develop accurate heat loss calculations, and design MCS-compliant systems.This is an exciting opportunity for someone with hands-on plumbing or renewable heating experience, looking to move off the tools.Responsibilities:Lead technical site surveys (on-site) to assess heat pump suitabilityConduct detailed heat loss calculations and system sizingCreate compliant designs, schematics, and layout plans for air-source heat pumpsProvide technical guidance to installation teams and project managersEnsure designs meet MCS standards and manufacturer specificationsSupport the development of survey and design processes and toolsTroubleshoot and refine designs based on real-world feedback from installsStay current with industry standards, products, and best practicesRequirementsYou’ll be an experienced heating engineer with knowledge of heating system design and the ability to fault find.Proven experience in heat pump system design and surveyingStrong understanding of building fabric, heat loss, and hydronic systemsGood with customersFamiliarity with MCS standards and compliance requirementsExcellent attention to detail and ability to balance efficiency with accuracyComfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving startup environmentExperience with design softwareWilling to drive to up to 2 surveys each dayClean UK driving licencePreferable:Heat Geek MasteryNVQ 3 or above qualification in plumbing or heatingBPEC or equivalent qualification in heat pump designExperience leading a team or managing technical workflowsBenefits£47K+ annual salaryBonus plan28 days of holidays per annum (incl. national holidays)Company vehicleModern and inspiring work environment Apply Today and Grow with Installio #J-18808-Ljbffr
