CNC Miller Setter Operator Full time, Permanent ID: 39423 4 & 5 working day shifts available (39hrs) £35,000 - £40,000 per annum Chard Our client is a specialist precision manufacturing business and are in need of multiple CNC Setter Operators to join the team. You will be supporting the business and machining parts for multiple sectors including Aerospace, Oil & Gas, Automotive, and other precision engineering sectors. To apply for this role you will need to have previous/current experience in CNC Milling. CNC Miller candidate background needed Previous experience as a CNC Setter Operator in milling Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens or Mazatrol control experience Ability to multitask setting up other machines when main station is running Ability to read technical drawings Proficient in materials handling and working with hand tools Basic math skills for measurements and calculations Mechanical knowledge and understanding of machine operations CNC Miller Responsibilities Work on 3, 4, and 5‑axis machining centres, producing complex, high‑precision components Read and interpret detailed engineering drawings, ensuring dimensional accuracy and compliance with customer requirements Machine a wide variety of materials, including exotic alloys and hard metals, to tight tolerances Conduct quality checks using appropriate metrology and inspection equipment Maintain production efficiency and quality through adherence to 6S and Lean manufacturing practices Collaborate with production, engineering and quality teams to resolve technical or process‑related issues Work independently to manage workloads while contributing effectively as part of a team CNC Miller Other/Benefits On‑site parking Overtime at x1.5 25 days holiday + banks (3 or 4 days allocated to Christmas).
