The successful candidate will work within the team that provides the critical cloud foundation for the firm’s data and AI mission building a scalable, secure and highly automated platform on GCP. The role involves working on and learning from a sophisticated modern tech stack contributing to the platforms that are the backbone for our Trading Data Engineering Back‑Office and other core technology teams in a high‑impact environment. What you’ll be involved in: Building and scaling our GCP foundation including networking, IAM, security and our everything‑as‑code approach using Terraform and Terramate. Implementing and maintaining a self‑healing architecture with a primary focus on GKE. Supporting critical engineering platforms including our multi‑tenant Airflow, BigQuery environment and PostgreSQL clusters. Contributing to developer experience by supporting our Coder remote development platform, self‑hosted GitLab CI/CD pipelines and firm‑wide observability stack. What we need from you: A strong desire to automate processes with proven proficiency in writing clean, maintainable Python to solve operational problems. Solid hands‑on experience with a major cloud provider (preferably GCP), Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and container orchestration with Kubernetes (GKE). A customer‑focused approach to building stable, well‑documented and powerful platforms for internal teams. A pragmatic and relentless focus on efficiency & velocity including the practical use of AI assistants to accelerate problem‑solving and code generation. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with 2‑4 years of professional experience in a Cloud Platform or DevOps role. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts (e.g. GitLab CI) and an interest in data platforms or observability is advantageous. A minimum 2 : 1 degree in a STEM subject or equivalent professional experience.
