The role involves collaborating with various stakeholders of the business, line managers and addressing client inquiries whilst delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining compliance with industry standards (BRC/ GMP). Assist with formulation trials, stability testing, and translating R&D products into manufacturing-ready specifications Checking associated labelling/ artwork and/or formulation against agreed specifications Manage Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and ensure raw material and finished product specifications are accurate. Assisting with continued QMS development Assisting and completing internal auditing (not supplier) Assisting and completing labelling audits Assisting and completing GMP audits Data entry (Word, Excel, SharePoint etc) Deputising for the Technical Manager during annual leave, busier periods and ad-hoc. Maintain a strong presence on the shop floor and in the laboratory, collaborating with staff and senior leaders Interacting with Clients and reporting updates to Clients. Ensuring compliance with UK and EU food and regulations (e.g., FSA, Allergen Labelling, E-numbers, REACH, IFRA standards) Person Will hold a degree in Food Science ideally or Chemistry (or STEM related) Will have worked in a similar QA, Specification Tech or related role in a BRC (or GMP) company (Food, Ingredients, nutraceuticals etc) Internal auditing experience (BRC) ideally GMP too but not essential Experience in creating and reporting safety data sheet (SDS) information Experience using Word, Excel, SharePoint etc The ideal applicant will have HACCP certs (desirable) Strong interpersonal skills needed.
