George Salter Academy is seeking to appoint a part‑time cleaner to start as soon as possible. This role involves 15 hours per week, 52 weeks per year, from 3pm to 6pm. About this role As a cleaner, you will perform general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, dusting, polishing, mopping, cleaning toilets, and other related tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor. Responsibilities Vacuuming classrooms and common areas. Dusting surfaces and equipment. Polishing windows, mirrors, and fixtures. Mopping floors and disinfecting high‑touch areas. Cleaning toilets and restrooms. Other cleaning tasks as directed by the Cleaning Supervisor. Qualifications and Checks All successful appointments will be subject to suitability checks in accordance with KCSIE, including identity, right to work, qualifications, online searches, prohibition checks, two references and an enhanced DBS check including the Children’s Barred List.
