Our students often have complex needs, associated learning difficulties and challenging behaviours. The school is in the heart of the New Forest, a beautiful location which is also close to the coast. Responsibilities Work as part of a team under the direction of a qualified teacher, assisting students to access a broad curriculum through individual programmes. Be involved in ongoing curriculum development and help plan and deliver a range of memorable learning experiences. Mentor and coach Teaching Assistants (TAs) new to the role, alongside the class teachers. Have an interest in, and a desire to further develop the Curriculum with a focus on Literacy and Communication. Line-manage a small group of teaching assistants and demonstrate excellent organisational and communication skills. Work flexibly in relation to tasks undertaken.
