Field Engineer Location: Livingston and surrounding areas. Employment Type: Full-Time. Salary: up to £28,000 + £4,000 allowance + Benefits. Responsibilities Diagnose, repair, and maintain IT hardware including PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals. Support basic server, AV, telephony, and network tasks as required. Resolve operating system and application incidents following customer and manufacturer procedures. Execute IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) projects to customer specifications. Maintain clear communication with Call Administration, Service Delivery Managers, and customer sites. Manage part movements (RMA generation and returns) efficiently. Meet or exceed defined KPIs and SLA targets. Ensure compliance with site-specific Fire, Security, and Health & Safety regulations. Log all incidents and resolutions using ITSM tools. Stay current with technologies and maintain relevant certifications. Participate in 24/7 on-call rota and perform overtime when required. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development. Maintain company assets and keep technical documentation up to date. Adhere to all company and customer policies and procedures. Skills & Experience Professional, presentable, and customer-oriented. Full UK driving licence (essential for site travel). Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to obtain Government and/or Police Security Clearance. Self-motivated with excellent organisational skills. CompTIA A+ certification or equivalent experience. Proficiency in OS admin tools, application support, and telephony. Application Support Engineer - Edinburgh Key Responsibilities Provide time‑critical support and maintenance for multi‑slot batch and applications that serve the global Asset Management business. Perform application recovery, incident management, and root‑cause analysis across global time zones. Support scheduled release and deployment activities, including validation, rollback planning, and post‑deployment monitoring. Evaluate infrastructure, systems, and third‑party changes for potential impact on supported services. Collaborate with infrastructure specialists to implement fixes and enhancements. Participate in Disaster Recovery events in maintenance windows. Work seamlessly with service partners to ensure robust service levels. Produce and maintain technical documentation to support production services. Develop, test, and maintain application code, contributing to sprint activities. About the Candidate Experience in application support and maintenance. Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying, processing, and performance tuning. Familiarity with financial services, preferably trading, and compliance practices. Understanding of data warehousing, ELT/ETL processes, and data modelling. Experience with scheduling tools and support for Windows applications. Proactive mindset with a focus on service and customer impact. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Ability to work independently and within cross‑functional teams using agile practices. Exposure to DevOps practices and tools. Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Snowflake, and DBT. Experience with Autosys, Ab Initio, Markit EDM, IBM MQ, and PowerShell. Desirable Skills Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD. Knowledge of cloud‑native development platforms. Experience with autosys scheduling, Ab Initio, and other ETL tools.
