Job Summary The applicant will lead their own clinical research and support and lead clinical research among Nurses, Midwives, Allied Health Professionals, Healthcare Scientists, Pharmacy staff and Psychologists (NMAHPP) at Imperial. The applicant is expected to develop a nationally leading programme of research that will have excellent synergy with existing activities within the Department and wider Imperial infrastructure, particularly the Imperial BRC. Responsibilities Lead and support clinical research among multi‑disciplinary teams including NMAHPP staff. Develop a nationally leading research programme with synergy to departmental and BRC activities. Actively lead undergraduate and postgraduate education, particularly the iBSc in Anaesthesia & Critical Care and the new MRes in Perioperative & Critical Care (starting 2026). Maintain an inclusive, flexible working environment in partnership with the line manager. Qualifications PhD in a health‑related field or equivalent. Full NMC (Nursing and Midwifery Council) registration. Experience International reputation and expertise in clinical research. Track record of attracting substantial research funding. Evidence of contribution to colleague development through coaching and mentoring. Capability to act as a role model in research, teaching and management among clinical researchers. Extensive experience leading design of research programmes. Excellent research record with international publications. Experience training undergraduate and postgraduate students. Supervision experience for higher degrees (PhD).
