SF are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant to join a well established Manufacturing company based in Burton on a full, time permanent basis. The ideal candidate must be ACCA qualified or only have 1 or 2 exams remaining and experience in preparing Statutory Accounts.Salary up to £48,0002 days working from home - Will be required to be full time at the start whilst trainingOn site free parkingFull time - 37.5 hours- 33 days holiday per year (inclusive of bank holidays)- Pension scheme with linked life insurance- Service-related payment- Employee discount scheme- Employee assistance programme- Discounted tyre vouchers- Bike to work scheme (salary sacrifice)- Car purchase scheme (salary sacrifice)Job ScopeReporting directly to the Financial Accounts Manager, and working as an integral part of the UK Financial Accounting function, to provide accurate and timely financial accounting and reporting, while assisting with and driving process improvements.Roles and ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of the Head Office Financial Accounts team, responsibilities will include the following:Financial Accounting and control for fixed/variable cost centre reporting as well as managing underlying transactional processes where relevantSupport with preparation of annual management plan and forecastsWork with and supporting business functions in your areas of responsibilityFinancial accounting and month end closure of trade creditors area of the balance sheet including:-Supporting purchase ledger supervisor with financial accounting mattersClosure and revaluation of purchase ledgerAdjustments for group reporting purposesGRIR analysis, maintenance and controlGoods in transit calculations and reconciliationsIntercompany balances uploads and reconciliation via HFM ITMDPO calculationsFinancial accounting and control of central HQ cost rechargesSupport with monthly group reporting and preparation of annual statutory accountsPreparation of information for tax purposes where relevantAuditor liaisonDrive internal controls and process improvementsAd-hoc work as and when requiredQualifications and AptitudesEducationQualified ACCA, ACA or CIMAExperienceRelevant accounting experience covering financial accounting, VAT and tax within a UK organization - essentialBe able to demonstrate solid PQE within industry - essentialEssential SkillsGood technical financial accounting skills with knowledge of internal controlsA high proficiency in ExcelGood analytical skills, able to interpret data and then communicate findings accordinglyGood communication skills, able to establish and develop relationships at all levels within the organisationHigh level of attention to detailResilient and flexible in the approach to work and enthusiastic in outlookMust be flexible and able to work under pressure, often with changing demands / deadlinesGood team player and self-starterMust have an enthusiasm for process improvementsExperience of SAP is very desirable, although training will be given #J-18808-Ljbffr
