TeacherActive is proud to be working with a small, inclusive secondary school in Skelmsdale. We are still looking for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their team and provide high-quality classroom support across Key Stages 3 and 4.

This is a school that values strong relationships between staff and students, with a clear focus on behaviour, engagement, and academic progress. The successful candidate will be joining a supportive environment where staff are encouraged to help students thrive both inside and outside the classroom. The school has a brilliant culture, shown by its high staff retention rate.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with secondary-aged pupils, or for recent graduates and aspiring teachers who are looking to gain valuable school-based experience. The role is set to be a long-term role until Christmas, with a strong chance of being extended further.

The ideal Teaching Assistant will have experience in:

Supporting students KS3-KS5
Assisting in the delivery of pre-prepared lessons
Helping manage classroom behaviour and keeping students engaged
