Service Charge Assistant – Birmingham City Council. Grade B – £28,598 – £34,434 Consultation grade – subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working hours – 36.5 hours per week Employment type – Permanent This is an exciting opportunity within the Housing Management Service to support the Service Charge Manager on all aspects of tenant and leasehold service charges across the city. Birmingham City Council manages over 6,500 leaseholders and 59,000 council tenants. Responsibilities Assist the Service Charge Manager with all aspects of tenant and leaseholder service charges. Support and assist the service charge function to maximise income. Analyse service charge accounts, ensuring accurate billing and payment collection. Maintain service charge records and liaise with stakeholders. Provide excellent customer service to tenants and leaseholders. Qualifications & Experience Knowledge or experience dealing with service charges for tenants and leaseholders. Experience in property‑related finances or service charge accounting desirable. Analytical skills, organisational ability, and attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Application Requirements Upload an up‑to‑date CV and Supporting Statement.
