£DOE | Bath | Hybrid | Fixed Term (12 months) | Full Time | 37 hours per week
Your Expertise. Our Developments. Building Communities Together.
Exceptional designs don't just happen – they require technical excellence and meticulous coordination. As we expand our award-winning residential developments, we need a Senior Technical Coordinator to join our Technical team on a 12-month fixed-term contract basis.
With multiple developments within an hour of Bath, this role offers the chance to shape communities where connections matter and customers come first.
What you'll be doing
- Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, you will be responsible for leading the technical functions on developments, from pre-planning to project completion.
- Fulfil the Principal Designer role (with consultant support) under CDM Regulations, coordinating health and safety in the pre-construction phase.
- Create and manage pre-development and design programmes using Asta Powerproject, monitoring progress against timelines.
- Lead the consultant design team to deliver coordinated planning applications and detailed designs that meet margin expectations.
- Scrutinise design information to ensure coordination and accuracy while applying value engineering principles.
- Manage section agreements with local and statutory authorities to achieve technical approvals.
- Coordinate with NHBC and Building Control to ensure designs meet legislative requirements.
- Provide technical support to commercial, build and sales teams, assisting with interpretation and problem-solving.
- Contribute to technical reports for executive and board meetings as required.
What you'll get in return
- 26 days annual leave per year (plus bank holidays) rising to 29 days after 3 years.
- Your birthday off as an extra holiday.
- Up to 10% matched pension contribution (Salary Sacrifice scheme).
- Hybrid working (3 days office, 2 days home).
- Annual 'Homes for Good' Reward.
- Life Assurance Policy (up to 6x your annual salary).
- Flexible benefits including Health Cash Plan and ability to buy additional leave.
- 'Perks at Work' discounts and benefits package.
- Employee Assistance Programme.
- Free parking at many of our offices.
More about you
You're an experienced technical professional with a relevant qualification (BTEC HNC/HND or Degree) and a proven track record in a house builder's technical team or architectural/engineering consultancy.
Your eye for detail and project management skills allows you to coordinate complex technical information while working to tight deadlines. You understand value engineering principles and can apply them to optimise designs without compromising quality.
Most importantly, you're a collaborative team player with excellent communication skills who can translate complex technical matters for non-technical audiences. Your knowledge of housing construction methods, engineering principles, building regulations, and CDM requirements will be essential in this role.
