Apprentice Electronics Engineer – Eagleston Financial Group We are looking to start an apprenticeship program for an Apprentice Electronics Engineer beginning September 2026. This role is part of the Advanced Wound Management R&D team and offers a chance to kickstart your engineering career by working on innovative medical technologies. What does New Product Development mean for Smith+NePh? New Product Development (NPD) at Smith+NePh is the bridge between early‑stage design and full‑scale manufacturing, ensuring our next generation of wound care products meet global patient needs. The NPD team works at the cutting edge of technology, collaborating across departments and with external partners. What will you be doing? As an Apprentice Electronics Engineer: Support design and delivery of cutting‑edge medical devices. Work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands‑on experience in electronics design, testing, and manufacturing. Participate in every stage of the product lifecycle, from concept to clinical trials and production. Plan and execute tests, document findings, and contribute to design reviews. Explore components such as pressure sensors, pumps, and batteries, developing technical knowledge and problem‑solving skills. What will you need to be successful? Entry requirements for a Level 6 Apprenticeship scheme: Two A‑Levels at grade B or above, including Mathematics or Further Mathematics and one of Physics, Biology, Chemistry, or Engineering. Or a Level 3 Engineering qualification such as BTEC, Cambridge Technical, EAL, T‑Level, or Foundation Technical Level at distinction level. Who are we looking for?
