We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP The Mount, a category C training prison built on the site of a former RAF station on the outskirts of Bovingdon village, Hertfordshire. In this role you'll be working with a multi‑disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed. In this role you'll be working with a multi‑disciplinary team that will support you and help you succeed. Hours Weekdays: 07:45 - 16:45 & 07:45 - 18:30 Weekends: 08:30 - 18:00 There is an expectation to work 1 weekend in 4. Salary This position is full time. You’ll receive an annual salary up to £54,397 per annum, depending on experience. How will we support you? Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course. Main duties of the job As a Senior Primary Care Nurse, your responsibilities will vary. You will Be an integral part of the multi‑disciplinary healthcare team by bringing your top‑notch clinical skills and passion for care. Undertake a wide variety of tasks including screening, assessments, examinations, and tests as well as answer emergency bells and potentially being the first person to attend an emergency. Develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery. Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care, building strong multi‑disciplinary teams and supporting each other to do a great job. Evidence of Continued Professional Development. Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working. Ability to work within a busy environment.
