Accommodation is available upon request. Job Description How does this role contribute to our collective success? This role contributes to AXIS’ success by maintaining and promoting a market‑leading claims service to support clients’ complex risks, supporting retention and acquisition of business. What will you do in this role? Handle personal injury and property damage claims in a general liability and medical malpractice capacity, and other liability/PI classes for commercial clients in the non‑US Professional Lines Division. Work closely with clients, market leaders, brokers, TPA service providers and external legal advisors to ensure premier claims service. Lead claims from first advice to final settlement, including coverage and liability analysis, reserve evaluations, resolution strategy and liaison with risk managers, in‑house counsel and experts. Handle Lloyd’s Syndicate, IUA and company claims. Liaise with underwriters on wording/policy issues, provide claims information and attend client meetings as appropriate. What you need to have Experience with personal injury and/or medical malpractice claims in a claims lead or legal advisory capacity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to articulate in meetings. Ability to develop and sustain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ability to prioritise and organise workload. Ability to exercise sound judgement. What we prefer you to have Experience working in a syndicate, company or broker with practical exposure to market duties. Knowledge of CLASS/ECF2. Proficiency with Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Legal or professional qualification such as ACII. Role Factors Typical office requirement: 3 days per week.
